How Excellence Began
Our History
"It is impossible for a man to learn what he thinks he already knows."
The FNDRC traces its roots to the Summer Short Course on Food, Nutrition and Health offered by the College of Human Ecology Alumni Association (CHEAA) from 2003 to 2008.
In 2009, the management and implementation of the review course was transferred to the Institute of Human Nutrition and Food by virtue of and in compliance to Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Memorandum Orders No. 3 s. 2008 and No. 30 s. 2007, and was eventually named the Food, Nutrition and Dietetics Review Course.
From its initial offering up to the present, the FNDRC has consistently received outstanding ratings and commendations in terms of course content and methodology, resource persons, and over-all management. To its credit, it counts several topnotchers from the NDLE among its alumni.
Recognizing the challenges brought about by the pandemic and with the health and safety of the participants in mind, the 13th FNDRC will be the first completely online offering of the program. The review course will utilize an online portal that would facilitate the learning modules and examinations that make-up the review.
